A brisk wind rose goosebumps from her exposed skin, waking her up in a stupor. She wasn't sure where she was or how long she's been there- but all she knew was that she needed to leave, and fast. All she remembered was being in an office for her internship and being left alone, then the feeling of intense drowsiness.

She felt around to see if she had a cell phone. Phew! Luckily for her, it was there. AND she had signal! She slowly scanned her surroundings. It appeared to be a large, spacious prison. There was a barred window on the upper right side, but there was no way she could get through.

Aka went through her contacts and instinctively dialed Shinsou. She thought of calling Mina, but she'd hate to drag her out here this late at night. If her parents knew that she snuck off for an 'internship', they'd literally kill her themselves! It dialed for a good 20 seconds before she heard the familiar deep voice.

"What do you want?" He grumbled.

"Shinsou! I'm in a weird jail place and I need your help!" She sputtered.

"What do you mean 'weird jail place'?" He questioned.

"I-I don't know! I was in this office! And-and then I got drowsy and-and--"

"Alright, I've heard enough," he cut her off, seemingly shuffling some things behind him. "I'll see if I can track down your phone, alright?"

"Okay! Thank you, Shins-!"

Dial tone. He was gone.

She slumped against the wall with a sigh.

Even in a crisis like this, he was still an ass. Well at least he's helping her.

...He's always helping her .

With her school work, her family, just everything. He was always there to lend an ear and give her his brutally honest advice. It was a hard pill to swallow, but she knew he did it out of lov- friendship.

She shook her head with a blush. God, what was she thinking! There's no way he could be into someone as... inhuman looking as her. She was far too timid for his type- if he even had one she was sure she wasn't it. Aka felt so pathetic asking him to help her again. He's probably tired of her now, but she trusted him enough for him to bring help. She silenced her phone as to not alert whoever may be watching.

Hours upon hours went by in silence. She slowly felt her eyelids become heavy- but not until she felt a firm hand tenderly rub her head. She instinctively leaned into it with a comforting sigh, looking up to see Shinsou crouched over her.

"You okay, Aka?"

"Mmhmm," she murmured with a nod, rising to her feet with a stretch. Another chill went up her spine, coursing through her petite frame.

"Here, you must be cold," he pulled off his black, windbreaker jacket and draped it over her shoulders. "It's not much, but it'll help with the draft."

She tugged it closer to her, appreciative, revelling in the scent of him. "Thank you, Shinsi~" she slipped her front arms through the sleeves.

"C'mon, the cops are waiting for you outside," he took her hand and felt his way through the dark labyrinth.

Aka blushed, peering down at their intertwined hands. His hand firmly grasped hers, tugging her along the way. Even though her feelings for him convoluted her thoughts, she wondered... why couldn't the cops assist him inside? Were they wary of him? Was it to much for them to come in altogether?

"This way," he commanded, making a sharp right.

Soon enough, they reached a large warehouse-like space; the large metal double-doors right before them.

"C'mon Shinsou!" She dashed toward the doors, her puffy pink skirt fluttering with each step she made. Yes! They were going to get out and then investigate who did this. And then they'd be caught and save the day!

The raven-haired girl tugged tightly on the rusted handle bars, but to no avail. Not even her superior strength could get it to budge. She stepped back and scanned the doors, not even noticing the footsteps that lingered behind her. It was then she realized the small brass keyhole beside the left handlebar. Was it locked... from the inside?

"It seems we're stuck here," Shinsou's deep voice reverberated around the warehouse, startling her.

She span around quickly, trying to decipher whatever the hell was going on here.

Shinsou pocketed one hand and twirled a vintage key around his finger, smirking.

The girl blinked wide-eyed, a bead of sweat dripping down her temple. She had a really, really bad feeling about this. The air around her became so hard to breathe, she almost choked from the tightening of her throat.

Four distinct figures creeped from the shadows like predators in the night, cornering their prey.

"Shinsou? ...What's going on?"  She shuddered, backing away cautiously.

He said nothing, the four figures finally showing themselves: one blonde in a schoolgirl uniform, a tall man with patchy skin, another who's face was covered by a dismembered hand, and one who was entirely made of a deep purple fog.

Her eyes widened upon the sudden realization that fell upon her. Her fingers pulled the coat tighter against her as if it was some kind of protective shield.

"Now do you understand what's going on?" Shinsou caught the key in his palm and crossed his arms.

"Shin-!" His name got trapped in her throat as she struggled to hold back her tears, lower lip trembling. She didn't want to cry. Not in front of them, or this...this ASSHOLE!

"Tch!" He tilted his head. "Are you gonna cry?" He mocked.

"Aww, poor thing," the blonde cooed. "I'm gonna enjoy dismembering her! Such a cute little buggy she is!!" She cupped her cheeks and smiled a huge, toothy smile- slick drool dripping down her chin.

Her heart beat like a drum through her chest. Adrenaline was rising for she found that she couldn't run away from this one. No, she had to fight. Anger and frustration seeped through the sorrow, something that she couldn't handle very well.

"Shinsou told us all about you, Bitoru. I can tell from your tests that you really are physically adept," the strange man with the dismembered hand spoke before bellowing out of laughter, scratching his neck furiously. "SUCH A FINE SPECIMEN FOR MY NOMU!!"

Sweltering heat rose from the pits of her stomach and upwards toward her chest, her tears hot and fiery. Her nose flared, steam seething or the crevices of her clenched teeth.

"Don't take this personal, Aka-chan. It's all in the Hero Killer's will," he responded. Suddenly his eyes widened, a huge psychotic smile creeping on his face. "ISn'T IT aN HONOR To bE a StePPING StoNE foR ThIS NEw WoRLd?"

The raven-haired girl backed up with a horrific gasp.

"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH HIM!?" She exclaimed.

"Nothing. We just taught him about the Hero Killer's ideology. That's all," the patched skin male spoke up. "This was all his idea."

"Shinsou?" Her eyes shifted to his with a look of disbelief. "You...You set me up?"

"I didn't set you up. Just took advantage of your trust and naivete. You set yourself up," he shrugged as if it was all simple; like her feelings were nothing to him!

"You put me in a life or death situation for what!? For some guy that's rotting in the grave!?" Aka cried. "I actually cared enough to save you during the entrance exams! I supported you BEFORE the license exams when nobody wanted to talk to you! Does our friendship mean NOTHING to you?!"

"Friendship? What friendship?" He mused. "You mean that one-sided crush you girls have?"

The small crowd chuckled lowly at this, further adding to her humiliation.

"Don't think I didn't notice how you look at me sometimes. Or how much you'd blush whenever I stared. It's disgusting, really."

She sniffled at this. This... this wasn't true, right? She really wanted to believe that maybe... just maybe he really did legitimately like her for some time. That he wasn't this horrible human being. Please say it wasn't true. Please give her a sign that he retained some kind of humanity within him.

Her body tensed up as he deliberately made his way to her. He put a hand in her head, running his fingers soulfully through her scalp.
...What was he doing?

"Tell me babe... do you still love me?"

She looked up at him, a glimmer of hope in her eyes. However, looking into his- they were dead, soulless. He was playing her.

Aka pushed him roughly to the floor in pure anger.

"FUCK YOU, SHINSOU! I HATE YOU!" She lashed out in anger, throwing off that traitor's jacket. "I'LL FUCKING KILL YO-!" She lunged for his neck with a clawed swipe, but paused midway through. Her mind became a blank sheet, her entire presence at the mercy of her puppeteer.

Dabi grabbed Shinsou's hand, helping him up.

"Wow, so cruel," Dabi remarked to the teen who was busy dusting himself off.

Shinsou merely ignored him, shifting his attention to the girl before him. "Now, be a good girl and go to Mr. Dabi. He has something for you." He gestured.

She went over to him, her wrists being locked in handcuffs and a potato sack being placed over her head. Dabi hoisted the girl over his shoulder, noting her light frame. He checked his phone, then turned to the others. "The getaway truck is here."

They all nodded in unison, exiting out of the hidden trap door of the warehouse.

Outside sat a black, inconspicuous van that had a bright blue plumbers advertisement on it. In the front seat, a young male appearing to be in his 20s, boredly checking his phone. He wore a black hoodie; his long, bone-straight hair half up in a ponytail and the rest down.

Upon the arrival of his companions, he unlocked the doors, patiently waiting for them to load their extra passenger. Dabi slid next to the male while the others took their places in the back.

The driver turned to check on those in the back. "Is everyone ready to go?"

The others nodded, Toga flashing her iconic toothy smile.

The young male smiled back, quickly texting a tidbit on his phone. In the corner of his eye, Dabi could make out a picture of the driver and the familiar bug girl in his background about 5 years younger.

"Kokuzoku, that girl... who is that? If you don't mind me asking."

"Oh her? That's my baby sister," he smiled.
Oooooh, betcha didn't see that one coming, did you? =w=

I've been seeing so much traitor Shinsou art lately that I'm like... hmm, I should make an angst myself! And then, boom! Also, my new character, Kokuzoku, is in the works, so look out for him soon. :3
